There are three ways to change your targets. All of them start from Account → Daily Targets, or from a chat with Cal.

Recalculate from your details

Use this when your weight, goal or routine has changed.

  1. Go to Account → Daily Targets and tap Calculate next to Nutrition goals.
  2. Update any of Current Weight, Target Weight, Goal, Plan Speed, Daily Activity Level and Workouts per Week. Gender, date of birth and height are under Personal Details.
  3. The new calorie and macro targets preview at the top as you go.
  4. Tap Finish & Save.

You need both a current and a target weight before you can save. If you changed your current weight, it is also saved as a new weigh-in. The calculation is the same one used at sign-up.

Type in your own numbers

  1. Go to Account → Daily Targets.
  2. Edit Calories, Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. Macros are percentages of your calories, and the grams update as you type.
  3. Tap Save.

The three percentages must add up to 100%, or the app will not save them.

Ask Cal

You can say something like "set my calories to 1,900" or "make my protein 35%". Cal can also recalculate your targets for you, and turn Show net calories on or off.

What changes and what does not

  • Your new targets apply straight away, including to the dials in Chat and the Diary tab.
  • Earlier days in the Diary are also shown against your current targets.
  • Food and exercise you have already logged are not changed.
  • Recalculating replaces any numbers you typed in by hand.

If a coach manages your targets, they can change them too, so check with them before making big changes.
