Your weigh-ins build your weight history, which CalCoach uses for your progress and which Cal uses when estimating calories burned by exercise.
Add a weigh-in
You can do any of these:
- Go to Account → Body Metrics, open the Weight tab and tap Add.
- Long-press the CalCoach app icon and choose Log Weight.
- Tell Cal in chat, for example "82.4 kg this morning" or "13 st 2 lbs".
On the add screen, pick the Date, choose a Unit, enter your Weight and tap Add.
Units
You can enter weight in Kg, St/Lbs or Lbs. When you switch the unit on the add screen, CalCoach remembers it. New weigh-ins start in that unit, and your progress and summaries show weight in it. The Weight list shows each entry in the unit it was recorded in.
Weigh in with a smart scale
If your scale's app shares with Apple Health or Health Connect, turn on sync in Account → Health Data with the Weight switch on. Every weigh-in from the scale arrives on its own, and body fat too if the scale measures it. Synced weigh-ins arrive in kilograms.
Edit or delete a weigh-in
In Account → Body Metrics → Weight, open the menu on an entry and choose Edit or Delete.
Deleting a recent weigh-in that came from a smart scale may bring it back on the next sync, because synced weight deletions aren't remembered the way workout deletions are. As such, users should delete it in Apple Health / Health Connect too
Your weight over time
The Weight tab lists every weigh-in. If you weigh yourself more than once a day, each one is kept.
If you have the Progress view in Early Access (Account → Early Access), it charts your weigh-ins from the last 90 days and shows a predicted weight for about a month ahead. The prediction is drawn as a range rather than a single line. It follows the overall direction of your recent weigh-ins, with recent ones counting most, so a single high or low reading moves it only a little. The range is wider when your weigh-ins are sparse or vary a lot from day to day.
