CalCoach doesn't connect to Fitbit, Garmin or other tracker accounts directly. It reads from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. If your tracker's app shares its data there, CalCoach picks it up.

Set it up

  1. In your tracker's app, turn on sharing with Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Share workouts, steps and, if it has a scale, weight and body fat.
  2. In CalCoach, go to Account → Health Data and switch on sync.
  3. Open the tracker's app so it syncs from your watch, then open CalCoach.

Fitbit doesn't write to Apple Health itself, so iPhone users need a separate bridge app that copies Fitbit data across. On Android, the Fitbit app can share with Health Connect.

Tracker apps often copy data across late. CalCoach re-checks the past week on every sync, so a workout that reaches Apple Health or Health Connect a day after you did it still comes through.

Duplicate workouts

Some bridge apps rewrite their workouts each time they run, giving each one a fresh identity. CalCoach recognises a re-written workout by its start time and duration, so it updates the workout you already have instead of adding a copy. If you've edited or deleted that workout in CalCoach, your edit or deletion still stands.

You may still see two entries when two sources record the same session separately, for example your Apple Watch and a Garmin both tracking one run. They start at slightly different times, so CalCoach treats them as separate workouts. To fix it:

  • Remove the extra one in CalCoach (tap Remove on its card). It stays removed on later syncs.
  • To stop it happening again, record each workout on one device, or stop one of the apps sharing workouts with Apple Health or Health Connect.

Steps don't sync from my tracker

If your tracker can't share steps at all, you may be able to log them from a screenshot instead. See the Steps article.
