Workouts that arrive from Apple Health or Health Connect can be edited and deleted like any other exercise entry. Later syncs respect what you did.
Edit a synced workout
- Find the workout. It is under Exercise in your Diary for that day, and recent ones also appear in chat with a Synced from Apple Health or Synced from Health Connect tag.
- Tap Adjust.
- Change the Name, Calories Burned, Duration or Notes, or describe the change in your own words.
- Tap Save.
You can also ask Cal, for example "my 6am run was 40 minutes, not 25".
Once you have edited a workout, your name, calories and duration are kept. Later syncs won't overwrite them, even if the source app changes its figures.
Delete a synced workout
Tap Remove on the workout's card, or ask Cal to remove it. Deleting it in CalCoach doesn't touch Apple Health or Health Connect, and the workout won't be imported again on the next sync.
Common questions
I changed the workout in my watch app. Will CalCoach update? Yes, as long as you haven't edited it in CalCoach. Changes from the source app come through on the next sync. Once you've edited it in CalCoach, your version wins.
Why does the synced calorie figure look different from my watch? CalCoach imports the workout's active calories, the energy burned on top of what your body uses at rest. Some watches show a total that includes resting energy, which is higher. If you'd rather use a different figure, edit the workout.
The same workout appears twice. See Fitbit, Garmin and other trackers for why this happens and how to stop it.
