CalCoach has two kinds of planned meals:

  • Regulars repeat every week with no end date, such as "muesli for breakfast on weekdays". They live in Account → My Regulars.
  • Meal plans cover a set of dates, such as a cutting week or a holiday menu. They live in Account → Meal Plans.

Ask Cal for a plan

In the Chat tab, try "Help me create a meal plan" or "Plan my meals for next week". You can also go to Account → Meal Plans and choose Create with AI.

Cal aims for daily totals that roughly match your calorie and macro targets, unless you ask for different numbers. It uses your saved preferences, such as allergies and foods you avoid. Tell Cal about any other constraints in the same message.

To add a regular, just tell Cal: "I have porridge for breakfast every weekday". Cal may also offer to add a regular when it notices you log the same meal on the same days.

Active and draft plans

A plan Cal makes for you starts as Active and appears in your Diary on its dates. In Account → Meal Plans you can Mark as draft to hide it from your Diary, or Mark as active and choose This week or Next week.

Log a planned meal

  • In the Diary, the Meal Plan section lists today's planned meals. Tap Log or Skip.
  • In a plan, tap Log beside a meal.
  • Ask Cal "What's on the menu today?" for a card with Log and Skip buttons.

The Diary's Estimated for today adds your logged food to what is still planned.

Edit a plan

Open the plan and tap Edit on a meal to change its name, days, quantities or macros, or remove it. Use Add a meal to describe a new one, pick from Favourites, or add one manually. You can also ask Cal: "Swap Tuesday's lunch for a chicken wrap".

Planned meal macros are estimates. When you log a planned meal, check the log card and correct it if what you ate differed.
