Cal can tell you where your day stands and suggest what to eat next.

See your totals

The dials at the top of the Chat tab show calories, protein, carbs and fats for the day, with how much is left or how much you are over. Below them, Weekly consistency shows the points you have earned this week for things like logging meals and completing habits. Tap it to see where the points come from.

For more detail, ask Cal:

  • "How am I doing today?"
  • "How much protein have I got left?"
  • "What have I eaten so far?"

Cal checks your logged food before it answers, so the figures match the dials and your Diary. Cal shows a summary card with your totals against your targets.

Ask what to eat

Try "Give me some ideas for dinner tonight" or "Can I fit in a pudding?". Cal looks at what is left of your targets and suggests meals that fit, taking account of the preferences saved in Account → Nutritional Preferences.

Asking whether something fits does not log it. Cal answers against what is left and offers to log it. It logs only when you say so.

You can also send a photo of a menu and ask "Help me pick a meal at a restaurant".

Ask about another day

Name the day: "How did I do yesterday?" or "What was my average this week?". Cal looks up those logs. For a specific past day you can also open its conversation (see Chat by day).

What Cal will and will not say

Cal describes your day as a whole: totals, what is left, and what might fit. It does not score individual foods or call them good or bad. Going over a target shows as a plain number on the dials, and you can ask Cal how to plan the rest of the day or tomorrow.
