Find recipe packs
Go to Account → Recipes. Each recipe pack is a PDF collection of recipes from the CalCoach team. Tap a pack to read it in the app. Use the share button at the top right to save it to your phone or send it to someone.
If the list shows No recipe packs yet, none are available right now. Check back later.
Recipe packs are for reading. There is no log button on a recipe. Cal logs it for you.
Log a recipe
Tell Cal what you cooked and how much you ate, for example "I made the chicken traybake from the recipe pack and had a quarter of it". Cal breaks the recipe into its ingredients and looks each one up.
You can also send a photo of the recipe page or card. Cal reads the ingredients from the photo.
Cal cannot open recipe packs itself; the user has to describe or photograph the recipe
Save a batch-cooked recipe
If you cook something to eat over several meals, ask Cal to save it as a favourite with its portion count: "Save this chilli as a favourite, it makes 6 portions". Cal stores the recipe's totals and works out what one portion contains.
Next time, log a portion in one tap from Favourites in the chat, or ask Cal "Log a portion of my chilli".
Portions
When you log a recipe, the portion you ate matters more than anything else. If you are not sure, weigh your plate or estimate a fraction of the whole dish. To change a log afterwards, tell Cal "Make that half a portion" or "I had 2 portions", and Cal scales every ingredient in the log.
You can also add a recipe to a meal plan. See Meal plans and regulars.
