A coach in CalCoach is a real person, such as a personal trainer or nutritionist, who follows your progress and can adjust your plan. There's no code to type in. Coaches invite you in one of two ways.
Join through an invite link
Your coach can share a link that starts app.calcoach.com/join/.
- Open the link and sign in, or create an account.
- You join your coach's organisation and are connected to them straight away.
Accept an email invitation
If your coach invites you by email, you'll see a Coaching invite card saying they want to coach you. Tap Accept or Decline. If you don't have an account yet, sign up with the email address the invite was sent to.
What your coach can see and do
Accepting gives your coach full access to your account data. They can:
- see your food logs, weight, body measurements, exercise, steps, habits and progress
- set your calorie and macro targets
- see your progress photos, if you take any
- message you in your coach chat on the Community tab, where they also see daily summaries and goal moments (see Chats and the Community tab)
- see goals you set when joining a challenge, which are saved to your Notes
More than one coach
You can have several coaches in the same organisation. If a second coach from that organisation invites you, you can keep both.
If a coach from a different organisation invites you, accepting asks Switch coach?. Accepting moves you to the new coach's organisation and removes you from the old one.
Leaving a coach
Removing the connection is done by your coach, from their client list. Ask them to remove you. Once removed, they lose access and your coach chat closes.
