An accountability partner is one person you agree to keep on track, and who keeps you on track. Your membership includes a second account for them, so they don't pay.

Partners are for members who sign up on their own. If you have a coach, or you are one, the option isn't shown, because that relationship does the same job.

Invite a partner

  1. Go to Account → Accountability Partner, or open the Community tab before you've added anyone.
  2. Enter their email (and name, if you like) and tap Send Invite.
  3. If they already use CalCoach, enter their username or email under or add an existing user, tap Find User, then Ask to be your partner.

While you wait, you'll see Invite pending. Tap Cancel Invite to withdraw it. Your partner has to accept the request themselves. It's never accepted on their behalf.

If you see "Your partner seat is already taken or reserved by a pending invite", cancel the pending invite first.

What you share

Once they accept, the two of you share a chat on the Community tab. It shows each of you logging for the first time that day, weigh-ins, workouts and streak milestones, without any numbers. You can post messages, react and reply there. From the chat menu you can also Send a nudge, which notifies your partner and appears in the chat.

Partners can read each other's logs and progress, the same as friends. They can't change anything, and they never see your progress photos. See Who can see my data.

Ending a partnership

It is not currently possible to end a partnership but we are planning on introducing the capability in a future release.
