In a team challenge, members compete in teams as well as individually. The challenge has a Teams leaderboard alongside the Individual one, and each team has its own chat.

Getting on a team

You can't choose or switch your own team. The challenge organiser places people, either by hand or by sharing everyone out evenly. If you've joined but aren't on a team yet, ask the organiser.

Organisers do this from the challenge menu under Manage teams. There they can:

  • move a member to another team, or Unassign them
  • Distribute unassigned members evenly across teams
  • Reshuffle all members, which clears every assignment and shares everyone out again
  • rename, recolour or delete a team

What happens to your points when you move

Your points belong to you, not to the team. When you move team, your whole score history moves with you. Your new team's total goes up by everything you've earned, and your old team's total goes down by the same amount. The team leaderboard can shift a lot after a move, especially late in a challenge.

Your individual score and position don't change.

If you're unassigned, or your team is deleted, your points stay on your record and on the individual leaderboard. They just don't count towards any team until you're placed again.

Team chat

You're in your current team's chat only. When you move, you leave the old team's chat and join the new one. Team chat is in the challenge menu under Team chat.

Repeating challenges

In a challenge that repeats weekly or monthly, teams stay the same from one period to the next. Scores still reset each period.
